Arithmetic mean and progression:

Today let us learn arithmetic progression and arithmetic mean. While dealing with mathematics few terms always make us tensed. Later I will tell you about geometric progression.

Arithmetic progression is also called arithmetic sequence. A sequence or progression is a group of number or letters arranged in an order. These terms are generally denoted as a1, a2, a3........an.
The suffix denotes the location of the term.

Arithmetic progression is that sequence where the sequence begins with a and then each term is found by adding the common difference d. As for example: a, a+d, a+2d, a+3d....

In arithmetic and statistics, the arithmetic mean (or basically the mean) of a list of numbers is the sum of all of the list divided by the number of items in the list. If the list is a statistical sample, they call the resulting statistic a sample mean

This is all about arithmetic mean and progression.
