Properties of addition.

Now let's start learning with properties of addition. Addition is a basic math operation that represents combining collections of objects together into a larger collection. It is signified by the plus sign (+). Performing addition is one of the simplest numerical tasks. There are four mathematical properties of addition, These properties are:
  • Commutative properties: It states that changing the order of the addends will not affect the sum. A+B = B+A.
  • Associative properties: It states that changing the groupings of the addends will not affect the sum. A+(B+C) = (A+B)+C.
  • Additive Identity properties: The identity property of addition states that when you add 0 to any real number, the sum is the number itself. A+0 = A.
  • Distributive properties: The sum of two numbers times a third number is equal to the sum of each addend times the third number.
Likewise there are other math properties too which I will explore further.
