While dealing with algebra the first question that arises is what is algebra? Algebra is the branch of mathematics concerning the study of rules and relations , equations and algebraic structure.

The math statement that describe relationships are expressed using algebraic terms, expressions or equations.
The basic unit of algebraic expression is terms, A term is either a number or a product of a number and more variables.
For example: -3xy, 5ax etc.

Algebraic expression is the meaningful collection of numbers, variables, signs. An example for expression is 3ax+8a²

For your convenience am providing an example of basic algebra problems. Following are examples of algebra problems:
Solve the following equation by substituting method
6x² - 6y² - z if the values of x = 2, y = 3, and z = 4
= 6(2)² - 6(3)² - 4
=6(4) - 6(9) - 4
=24 - 54 - 4
= -34
